Then the position of Accounting Manager at the Byggnads central office could be your next challenge. The mission of the central office largely involves coordinating the entire union's activities and driving and influencing the debate in society. All to safeguard the interests of the members and improve conditions within the construction industry, even from an international perspective. Byggnads consists of a central office and 10 regions, all of which are separate legal entities.

The Administrative Unit is responsible for the union's financial processes and works to support management and operations with planning, budgeting, accounting, follow-up, analysis, and decision-making materials that contribute to the governance and development of the union. The Administrative Unit consists of accounting, payroll, membership accounting, and HR. A total of 9 employees work in the Administrative Unit.

Main areas of responsibility

As an Accounting Manager, you will perform tasks commonly found within the Administrative Unit. This includes, among other things, invoice management, ongoing accounting, reconciliations, responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, tax calculations, annual reports, declarations, and consolidated financial statements for real estate companies, preparing reports for the union board, and establishing liquidity forecasts. You will participate in operational work and develop routines, processes, and instructions for accounting.

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications and experiences

  • An academic degree in economics/accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Several years of experience in accounting and reporting in companies/administration with large flows.
  • Experience with commonly used financial systems and good knowledge of Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

If you have experience working in a non-profit organization, it is a strong merit.

You communicate clearly and have good collaboration skills. You are confident in taking your own initiatives and decisions while being able to adjust your perspective and approach according to new circumstances.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date according to agreement. A probationary period applies. Salary according to the applicable collective agreement. The position is located in Stockholm.
